Every time you hear a Firetruck go by...say a little prayer for them...and for you.

Say a prayer for yourself, because in Los Angeles, our Fire trucks are some of the dirtiest smog belching vehicles on the streets. But those are usually on short trips.

LAUSD School Buses are horrendous...and are carrying our children. What does that say about the priorities of clean air when we put the construction of new and very expensive schools instead of improve the buses. I guess there is more overhead on new construction...and low overhead on maintenance.

But the worst vehicles of all? Those Los Angeles Sherrifs prison buses are really belchers. And they seems to be driven hard regularly....and they put out the clouds of soot.

Maybe we are just using the cheap diesel.

Either way, the citizens are paying for the blatant disregard for public health on this issue.

It seems to me, that we have a lot of govt vehicles around that are kept fairly new.

Why are the busses so old? Just because they still run?

Someone needs to figure this out soon.

Or someone needs to sue to get this figured out.

Either way, the worst part of my commute to Los Angeles deals with heavy pollution from govt vehicles.
